Marathon runner running short of money sells medals

In an old style two-bedroom apartment house her family share the rent with a girl in Beijing's suburban district of Tongzhou, former long-distance running champion Ai Dongmei displayed all her medals to visiting journalists from CCTV - not for recalling her glittering career life, but to advertise the medals for sale.

"I have no choice but to turn to my medals," said the former marathon champion of China's Huo Che Tou sports association. "I have spent all my money on the lawsuit."

Now the former runner is running short of money after suing her former coach Wang Dexian(the upper man) for embezzling her wages and bonuses last year. The court heard the case twice without pronouncing judgment.

How much are the medals, then?

1,000 yuan for a gold and a bronze costs 100 yuan.

Dead for love?

The fragile and helpless are most prone to become hopeless. Many may disdain them for their lack of courage if they choose to die, but a couple who recently ended their lives thus said in their will:

"You will never understand. This is our love."

Facing huge obstacles to overcome to live together, this young couple chooses to die together. Their bodies were found in the Yangtze River, and hands were tied together with a red wire.

A man fishing by the river in Southwest China's Chongqing Metropolis found two floating bodies and immediately reported the police on April 7, but by that time, they had been dead for two days. Both were in trim clothing, and the 26-year-old man's right hand was tied to the 20-year-old woman's left hand by a one-meter-long red rubber wire, which kept them together despite the raging tides of the river.

kong fu ,shaolin kong fu

Shaolin Quan or Shaolin Chuan originated in the Shaolin Temple on Mount Songshan at Dengfeng in Henan Province. It was named after the temple. The founder of the Shaolin Quan was said to be an Indian monk, Bodhi-dharma. The proposition, though very influential, was proved to be false, for there was a monk named BodhHiharma but he knew nothing at all about Chinese Chuan. In fact, Shaolin Quan was the manifestation of the wisdom of the monks of the temple, secular Wushu masters and army generals and soldiers.

hello from china

xi an city was an age-old city and had been ancient capital of six states yet.Xian, the eternal city, records the great changes of the Chinese nation just like a living history book. Called Chang'an in ancient times, Xian is one of the birthplaces of the ancient civilization in the Yellow River Basin area of the country. During Xian's 3,100 year development, 13 dynasties such as Western Zhou (11th century BC - 771 BC), Qin (221 BC - 206 BC), Western Han (206 BC - 24 AD) and Tang (618 - 907) placed their capitals here. So far, Xian enjoys equal fame with Athens, Cairo, and Rome as one of the four major ancient civilization capitals.
xi'an is a beautiful city .you can travel from one beautiful spot to another.there are three magnificent mountain,Mt. Huashan, Mt. Taibaishan, Mt. Lishan.Mt huashan is no 1 in china.

07/03/27,an old man ,a farmer in Sanmenxia, and his daughter lijuan yang, went to HONG KONG to meet her idol---dehua liu,a famous music star in asia.it is unfortunate that the old man committed suiside in river afte liu refused their demand that his daughter wanted to chat with liu in the private eye.
many chinese medias attribute the unfortunate event to this girl'ssfilial duty.the reason is that old man had raised travelling expense by selling his kidney .

Memories of a chinese writer -wangxiaobo

wangxiaobo(born may 13,1952,in beijing)is the author of over 15 books, most of which are satirical portrayals of the social upheavals in China during his lifetime. His characters are ususlly hard to hunt good will, same as himself. Some of his best known and loved characters are 'li er',and his wife 'cheng qing yang'.Growing up in an environment surrounded by books and frequent trips to the library, it was unavoidable that I would become a fan of all of wang’s characters, like 'li er'.'li er' became famous not only through li's sexual life and from more or less suspect that 'li er' was wang himself .
Though his writings didn't enjoy much commercial success before he died of heart illness in 1997 at the age of 45, they became hugely popular among young people in China soon after his death.
4.11 would be a great day to pick up your favorite wangxiaobo title to relive the fun and adventure you remember as a young man or, if you haven’t read anything by him, this is a great time to familiarize yourself with his amazing books. Grab a few for that young reader in your life, too, so you can both enjoy the magic of wang xiaobo’s world.
